Full renovation of the existing five bedroom, five bathroom, two powder room, 7,200 sq foot home. Created in collaboration with Jack Burns Architecture to transform a traditional home into a modern & transitional space. Maintaining the footprint of the existing house while growing the livable space throughout was a particular challenge, solved in several ways. By building a vaulted ceiling in the game room above the garage, adding dormers in the bedrooms, and re-configuring the kitchen and living room, the house is holds its traditional charm while still feeling modernized and functional. A custom outdoor patio was created with reclaimed woodwork by Provenance Timber, as well as a custom built blue stone fire pit and seating area. Reclaimed Chicago Brick flooring was used in the mudroom and powder room.
